Il Siggraph Computer Animation Festival è la più importante manifestazione internazionale sulle immagini e le tecnologie digitali interattive applicate alla comunicazione e all’audiovisivo. Giunto alla sua trentottesima edizione, annualmente il Siggraph illustra il futuro delle immagini digitali e della computer grafica, racconta le tendenze e gli sviluppi dell’industria cine-audiovisiva digitale nel mondo. L’edizione 2011, in scena ad agosto a Vancouver, ha presentato le produzioni digitali più innovative provenienti da tutto il mondo: effetti visivi per corti e lungometraggi, videosimulazioni, pubblicità tv e web, games e animazione real time. Meet The Media Guru, con il contributo di Regione Lombardia, propone un “traveling show” del Siggraph in una serata evento dedicata ai professionisti e operatori del settore cineaudiovisivo. Interverranno Joshua Grow, direttore del Siggraph Computer Animation Festival 2011, Massimo Zanello Sottosegretario al Cinema – Regione Lombardia. L’evento sarà un momento per confrontarsi sulle proposte e iniziative in corso in Lombardia per l’industria cinematografica e audiovisiva, per dare un segnale forte di interesse verso un settore in continua crescita ed evoluzione, protagonista delle nuove economie. Sarà anche una serata ‘cinematografica’ per immergersi nello scenario tridimensionale dell’ultima edizione canadese del festival: all’incontro seguirà un’ora e mezzo di proiezione dei contenuti più interessanti selezionati dal Computer Animation Festival di Vancouver, che spazieranno dai progetti di scuole internazionali ai corti e demo di importanti case di produzione cinematografica.
